How did I come to this? That is a question I've gotten from a few of you

and one I ask myself pretty much every day. The short answer is... beats the hell

Pantyhose. I waited tables in high school, I worked my way through college

as an NBC page, did the bank teller thing, did the cocktail waitress thing, tried

the real estate thing, that was a disaster, ended up doing the temp thing

and at every turn, at every job, pantyhose, pantyhose, pantyhose. It was

almost like karma or fate or kismet or I don't know, eternal damnation. The

universe just kept throwing pantyhose at my face and I just kept wanting to

throw them back. Where was I? Oh yeah, this temp job. Like I said, same as all the

others except this woman I work for, the office manager, a black-hearted

fire-breathing ultra-mega bitch if ever there was one, and a complete dress code
